Making a House a Home When Stacey and Charlie Hogan purchased their Cape Cod--fashion house in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, in 2012, it had a stuffy, formal feel, with hefty woodwork and closed-off rooms. "I needed the house to reflect all of our styles but nevertheless seem pulled together large mirrors ." says Stacey. So she called designer Andrew Howard, who not just reconfigured walls to open up the space but also managed to meet everybody's taste as he adorned.

Something For Everyone Stacey got a living area with fresh whites and blues; Charlie obtained a research that is masculine and complicated; and each of their four daughters got a colorful room that reflects her personality. It is a super-fun home to tour since you never know what you'll find behind each door. Have a look!

Living Room: Mom's Favorite Room "I am always here," says Stacey of her go-to space, with its tall windows and white and blue colour scheme. The design began with the patterned curtains, which were hung three feet above the windows so that they would not feel puny compared with the 20-foot ceiling.

Relaxing Living Room The elm coffee table is surrounded with chairs in all shades of blue, such as a set of animal-print chairs (for a similar cloth, attempt fabric.com). "In our previous home we used the formal living room," says Stacey. "I love having this fantastic comfy space to hang out rather."

Kitchen Stacey enjoys the airy look of a white kitchen but wanted a spin, so the cupboards are painted light grey (Gray Owl by Benjamin Moore). The girls love perching on the two-seater chairs from Lee Industries that scoot up to the 52-inch-by-127-inch island. The countertop is marble and Stacey's fine with the wear and tear. "It's a few chips and a few watermarks, but it is still incredibly lovely," she says.

Laundry Room: The Dog's Favorite Room "[With a huge family,] the laundry never stops. I had two sets of washers and dryers set up," says Stacey. With the stackable units, a laundry chute, and also a deep Kohler sink, "I'm in heaven in this room!" She says. She's not the only one: Sadie, the boxer, naps here on a dog bed from HomeGoods.

Breakfast Room The kitchen's banquette seats seven, "but we can squish in 12," says Stacey, who retains extra serving pieces in the bench's storage drawers. The family occasionally eats dinner and lunch here too. Andrew had window seat cushions made with a zigzag-print cloth (to get a similar appearance, try spoonflower.com) and stuffed the remainder of the bench with cushions in white, red, and blue.

Research: Dad's Favorite Room This clubby area--with a leather sofa from Hickory Chair plus a walnut coffee table out of Mitchell Gold Bob Williams--serves as both a den plus a home office for Charlie, CEO of a national facilities management firm. "It is my hideaway," he states.

A Businessman's Cave The walls and built in shelving are painted Chocolate Candy Brown by Benjamin Moore. "The rest of the house is bright and vibrant, but I like a calmer space," says Charlie. "I wanted a study that is a lot more subdued."

Entryway The household's foyer is practical, too. Stacey thought a seat would be more practical than a games console, because this is the place where the family gathers before going outside. The wood flooring throughout the home are reclaimed antique walnut, as well as the jute runner is out of HomeGoods.

Dining Room The family reserves this room mainly for vacations and large events, therefore it is dressed up with bright green trim (Woodland Hills Green from Benjamin Moore) around the ceiling and around the windows. The flooring has a gradated green wool and linen carpeting. Stacey and Andrew chose upholstered seats from Mitchell Gold Bob Williams and woven wood seats for around the trestle table. Two couches and a classic backgammon board take the area of art.

Claire's Favorite Room "Cool rather than frilly" were 13-year-old Claire's asks for a bedroom. "She has never been the flowery type," says Stacey. Claire says, "my mother wanted me to have a room, but I wanted a fun one. So we picked an wonderful blue for the walls and a bed using a wild print." The walls are Un-teal We Meet Again by Benjamin Moore, along with the stripy headboard fabric is out of Romo.

Grace's Favorite Room A competitive swimmer who's often up at 4:30 a.m. for practice, Grace, 15, includes a first-floor bedroom so that she will not wake her or her sisters. Since she loves orange and pink, they pop up throughout the space, and a variety of shapes make the space even more fun. There's a ring print on the carpet and bedding, a diamond pattern on the drapes, along with a flower-like mirror.

A Fun Girl's Room "The large white lighting with those little holes is amazing," says Grace. "It's what I love most in my room" The ceiling light is from Oly Studio.

Kate's Favorite Room Kate, 12, loves cheerleading--her peppy spirit inspired her fuchsia bedroom. Mattress is a seat from Lee Industries. "She is into vogue, and that's where she lays out jewelry and clothes combos," Stacey says.

The Room's Focal Point Covering a wall is Élitis background that Andrew had been saving for a year until he discovered the perfect location for it. "My background looks like tie-dye," says Kate. "My friends all think it is so cool!"

Emily's Favorite Room A super-serious pupil, 17-year-old Emily also gets the most classic flavor of all the girls. Navy is her favorite color-, but because four dark blue walls can make a room seem heavy, she chose on teal rather (Sea Mist Green from Benjamin Moore) with navy accents.

Personalized Teen's Room The dimpled ceramic lamps are from Arteriors Home. The art pieces above the bed, called sailors' valentines, are made from seashells glued in a pattern at a framework. "I watched the fabric (from Quadrille) for my headboard on Pinterest and fell in love with it," says Emily. "I had been so excited when we found it."
