Unassuming, that is, from the exterior. Inside, the home is a visual feast of international influences, touching private moments and individual style custom bathroom vanity mirrors . presented with all of the understated minimalism of a luxury apartment with a view of Sacr Cur or overlooking the Champs-lyses.

Dining in Style Just a couple of steps through the front door, the space opens up into an expansive dining area. Section of the effortless charm of this home comes from original details such as historic moldings. The cool white of the walls along with the warm wood tone of this floor produce a plain background that provide the room's additional colors and elements ample room to shine. The dining area is a mixture of industrial and rustic elements. To bring some colour to the mixture, a large red print, left from the house's previous tenant adds a pop of color to the neutral decoration.

Architectural Style Around from her bicycle, sits another vignette featuring among Nana Yaa's favourite decorating accessories: books. While the vase of flowers does a lovely job of echoing the color of the bike, the true star of the area is obviously the walls. The architectural details extend from floor to ceiling, bringing a feeling of character to the whole home.

A Colorful Moment The living room epitomizes the style of the home. Strong architectural details have been complemented, not covered, by beautifully understated gallery walls. And once more the walls and wood floors are the perfect backdrop for your house's boldest color statement--an inviting ambiance couch in a delicate, pink blush. Though small accessories, sculptures and pieces of artwork accent the space during, the largest pattern statement in the room is made by the wood floor, the repeating bead geometric blends effortlessly into the room whilst creating visual attention from the ground upward.

Vintage Screen Vintage finds are artfully displayed in every room in this home. From the desk, a more colorful handmade coat adds a splash of vivid color that enriches the reds seen in the several novels, and the yellow of the ottoman. The wood tone of the flooring is tied into this colorful piece.

Sweet Accessories Small surprises glance out of every corner in this home, adding to its beauty and charm. Nestled in one of the novels, Nana Yaa includes collected pieces to style that the row of shelving. Everything from travel souvenirs to her favorite Ghanaian Barbies sit amongst a selection of her favorite novels.

Gorgeous Built-Ins The architectural joys of this home seem never-ending, and this huge built-in mirror and bench only add to the wonder. Here Nana Yaa offers another colorful display of books in addition to a glimpse of her impressive collection of documents. A sentimental, personal touch, the space is adorned with a single picture of the designer's mother.

Cool Vignettes Off to one side of the dining space, Nana Yaa's favorite form of transportation makes its colorful contribution to the decor. This simple yet chic vignette is finished with the addition of an African mask hanging on the wall. Even though minimalist, Nana Yaa's style contains a lot of art, which the style designer often uses as an ode to her culture, a memento of places she's been a reminder of older buddies.

Books As Art On the opposite side of the fireplace, even more colorful sketches accompany a choice of pictures of one of Nana Yaa's grandmothers, whom she cites as one of her favourite people and a continuous source of inspiration. On the ground, stacks of books piled become another design moment, celebrating Nana Yaa's love of the written word. This designer proves that books do not have to be cluttered. They may get fashion minutes in a backyard.

Design Is in the Details Nana Yaa has a method of turning each second into a showcase. At the peak of the stairs, traveling out of the first floor to the second, one is greeted with even more small delights in the hallway. Here, a collection of her favourite shoes have been fashionably displayed. The most eye-catching--a pair of Nikes personalized using all the designer's name.

Warm Elements While the living room couch is a stunning shade of pink, the timber furnishings temper that pastel color. A close-up view of the coffee table showcases the timber components that specify a lot of the house's decor. The warm neutral is used in various shades through the home's two tales, often layered in conjunction to give the space a much more warm, inviting feel.

Dress Up Dress forms must be anticipated in the house of a fashion designer, but few dress forms exhibit this kind of array of international pieces. Both forms are decorated with beaded bracelets from Ghana whereas the smaller one sports a neckpiece created in Paris. Together with the beads, the bigger form wears a small golden pouch that Nana Yaa picked up while traveling in Israel. Additionally, it displays her collection of vibrant Ghanaian hats, among her favourite summer accessories, which weave leather jointly with plant fibers.

Minimalist Kitchen Similar to the dining space, this kitchen is a study in just how using powerful doses of cool and warm neutral colors to define a space makes it possible for a variety of different colors to fit to a palette. Here pops of yellow, green, orange and purple are all brought in through everything from fresh fruit to an oxidized metal bin. Employing several bright colors in little pops generates a vibrant space that does not overwhelm.

Walk-In Closet Dreams Where would a fashion designer's home be with no fabulous closet? Fortunately, this home boasts a walk-through cupboard that joins the living room and bedroom. With more than sufficient room to put away everything a fashion-lover could ever need, the shelves exhibit row upon row of amazing footwear while the racks hold bits from several of the best fashion houses in the world.

Developing a Home Office Across in the fireplace a little desk sits tucked against the wall in which the designer can work while appreciating her favorite music. The little nook is a wonderful way to carve a personalized home office. Framed sketches, cameras and masks--all strong recurring themes at the house--decorate the distance, giving the job environment an equivalent share in the decoration and atmosphere of the home. A small world is a fitting finishing touch for Nana Yaa, who asserts travel as her first and truest love.

Clothing As Art A vintage piece from Kenzo adds a splash of colour to this minimalist bedroom. Nana Yaa has a method of using clothing as distinctive decorative touches in her interior.

A Bedroom Retreat Beautiful and serene, Nana Yaa's bedroom fits perfectly with the rest of the house continuing the colour scheme and decorating motifs seen throughout. Oversized mirrors enlarge the sizable sleeping area. In this fashionable setup, however, there is always room for dealing with the actual needs of everyday life. A series of drawers under the mattress provides additional storage for whatever the cupboard can't hold.

A Curated Library An enthusiastic writer, Nana Yaa admits the library was one of the most welcome surprises at a house she admitted sight hidden while she had been in the process of visiting New York. The space is really a pass through from the dining room to the kitchen, and it's the perfect place to house all of her favourite reading material. The library makes for a tasteful transition into the kitchen, in addition to providing a tempting destination in itself.

Sophisticated Bathroom This bathroom has each the laid-back elegance that one would expect from a contemporary pied--terre. Boasting as much relaxation as style, the room is dominated by a traditional claw foot bathtub.

Artful Elements Small touches dot this chamber giving it a global feel in addition to a touch of whimsy. Small planters are suspended over the tub for a pop of life and greenery.
